I read some words today, that were assembled online
Convoluted and cruel, but poetic to my cynical mind
Of all the things I could guess would come about in our time
was that people would liken our music to committing a crime

I know that God nags forgiveness, and anything goodness can fix
But I think that we'd be in agreement of what this depicts

I find its hard to complain, knowing there's people like you

When we return from our shows at high schools all across town

I know that this doesn't matter, in the end all our plans will fall through
But our lives our too short, so this comes after thorough review
